Samsung Europa i5500 AWS?

Hi there,

I purchased the samsung galaxy europa GT i5500 in the UK as a sim only phone. I am now in Canada and hope that I can use my android with Wind Mobile or another decent mobile company.

I was told that my phone has to have an AWS of 1700 - 2100 imt to be compatible with WIND and have no idea how to find this out or what that even means. My phone has been defaulted to the Rogers wireless since I arrived here and I know that Rogers and Wind use completely different types of tower signals.

If anyone can please tell me how I can figure out what the AWS number on my phone is I would greatly appreciate it!! I just hope that I am not restricted to using rogers or fido as my mobile provider.

Take care,

Colleen
