Samsung galaxy E7

This their new ultra-slim one with a sealed battery, that isn't user replaceable.

It's probably like opening an iPhone or other sealed devices, using spudgers or other non-marking prying tools, and maybe hot-air as well if it's all glued up. Nobody has had a chance to publish any tear-downs of it yet.

This phone has only just come out, so almost no information yet anyway. Also it's really for places like India, China, SE Asia, so very unlikely to see it in North America.

We do have a forum for the Galaxy E7, but no posts in there yet.

It's not a flagship device by any means, probably brought out to compete with things like Oppo R5 or Vivo X5, in Asia, both are ultra-slim phones with sealed batteries. Think it's intended to be a mid-range, elegant phone. It's spec is reasonably good, and despite the sealed battery, it does have removable SD storage.

Don't go dropping it in water of you can help it. It's NOT water resistant and you can't quickly remove the battery. So chances are any submersion will be fatal or very expensive. Thought about getting an S5 instead? :)

Hello. I have the Samsung Galaxy E7 and it is great. The only thing bothering me though is the auto brightness. There is an app I use that turns the manual brightness to auto and I can't turn it back unless I restart my phone. Anyone knows how to disable/enable auto brightness? Thank you.
