Help Samsung Galaxy Reverb after yesterday's update...

I come to this forum in a dire time. I bought my Reverb 3 months ago, and I've loved her up until now. This new update I recieved yesterday totally effed my device.

It has some new features that I like a lot, but some of the things have been rearranged and dont make much sense. The phone seems to lag now when it never ever did before. My notepad was totally erased (and contained much important work information) and my similarly named contacts melded into each other.

Not only this, my screen now stops responding to touch at random times. 3 times yesterday, 1 time so far today. Its annoying as hell, and I want my beloved device back. This update bugged my phone I swear, I want this crap gone.

Its so stressful that I needed to post here, and it makes me want to go :smokingsomb: please helppp

Love hate here..I love the new features and my browser seems to operating faster but this issue with lock screen is sour grapes.

Im having similar issues with that update my screen doesnt really freeze but the lag is overwhelming ive been working on a solution since the update but nothing has helped so far

My phone too did an update and now locks up 3-6 times a day and I have to just turn it OFF then wait and restart it. What can I do to reverse that update or stop this from happening?

My phone updated this week & I just want things back the way they were before the update. Now my phone is putting a note across my screen every 20 minutes telling me it has connected to wifi. Apparently-this is the reason my phone has been running down twice daily & it used to stay charged for a whole day. Also, I used to be able to save attached pictures from texts sent to me. Now, it isn't an option-the menu is different. Is there any way to reverse the update?

I also have had a Galaxy Reverb for about 3 months. It was great until they pushed the Jelly Bean update onto the phone. Phone is now slow, freezes, and my calendar will only sync from the google to the phone, not from phone to google. These are real problems for me because I rely on my calendar. I have been on several forums and don't hear any real answers.

I had the same problem of the WIFI always being on after I got the upgrade last week. I think you can turn this off in Settings, More Settings, Mobile Networks, Connections optimizer.

Besides disabling the optimizer select advanced settings (under wifi) and disable wifi notification and edit wifi sleep only on when plugged in. This should help

my phone has been glitchy after the update also. phone has froze a few times (required battery pull), keyboard has been very slow at times, and GPS is not working properly. what the hell???

Hi I have updated my m950 to jb. I have an issue which may or may not be an issue. The baseband version of this up update is m950vpmd6 except mine reads m950vpbmd6 there is an extra letter in there. I tried to look up my particular version and nothing. Is this normal?

Another problem that I've seen since the upgrade- for the third time my battery is almost depleted after 10 hours (normally I can get 24 hours) and the phone is extremely hot. This is with WiFi and GPS off and not using the phone much at all.

Hi. I just ordered the Reverb the other day and I do not want to update at all after hearing some horror stories about Jelly Bean. Is the update mandatory or is there a way that I can reject the update?

I called VM support for my issues with JB. They were adamant that it was an issue with my phone and the upgrade. They sent me out a replacement and it came preloaded with JB. So far (3 days) no strange behavior. The replacement is probably a refurb, so not sure if yours will come with JB or not. If it does, it looks like it might be ok. If not, you may be taking a gamble if you perform the upgrade. If you do have issues, you should be able to return the phone.

Overall, I do like JB better than ICS, but it does have more bugs (at least 4.1.x). I doubt most/any of these will ever be fixed on this phone. Take issue/bug 36567 for example, Google's response is that it was "probably" fixed in 4.2! Nice!

I learned recently how to stop the lock screen from freezing.
1) Go into GOOGLE
2) Click on the MENU BUTTON
3) Click on SETTINGS
4) Click on VOICE
5) Click on HOTWORD DETECTION and MAKE SURE IT IS OFF
Once that is done, your phone should not freeze anymore. I saw this on a youtube video. The person said that the freezing went away and he commented on it a month after and said there was no more freezing issues. I am getting the Reverb on Monday and hope to do videos on it. I want to show how to do this myself. I found only one youtube video and I made sure that the freezing issue was able to be fixed before I got it. And in other news, how do you like your phone.
