guys google has just released a new version of google earth Google Earth 1.1 for Android which has some 3D features, its not available in india market, can we get its apk from somewhere ?

Hi Pradeep, you can't do anything except using the browser with Vodafone GPRS as Kalpik says. And the fact is your Galaxy S is almost useless without a proper internet connection. You can't even use the default calendar too ! So, buy a wireless router. Go for Netgear...it has automatic configuration wizard...very easy to setup. It's not too costly....around 1300-1500/-.
Guess, you are from/near Kolkata.... Is it ?

Thanks Kalpik/mamababu2007. I am from Bangalore. I do have the wireless setup in my home but wanted some data connection when i am out. I was thinking i can work with GPRS but that is somehow not working, though it used to work fine with SE k700i. Probably BSNL 3g is the way out...

@mamababu2007 - Vibration works with changing the ringdroid ringtone to default ring tone and switching back to ringdroid. I tried with Handcent, it did not work for me..
Thanks for your reply mate. I didn't use RingDroid. But used to use Handcent perticularly for sms...it has a feature also to select ringtones from gallery...I used that but never was in vibration mode. So I had a question about it.

if you can then flash to JG4 again and don't apply any lag fix...the GPS as far as I read in forums works preety good in india...

Its working fine for me after JG4 flash

did your GPS worked fine when you bought your phone with JF3 firmware ? if it did then seems like problem after your flash and if it didn't then may be hardware problem try showing it to samsung service center also ...

The gps was working fine till about 2 days ago ... but id rather have no gps than no lag fix ... with the amount of widgets my sgs runs , without the fix , my phone stalls often ...

Just hope the froyo update doesnt get delayed ...

Ok, just for everyone's information.. the JM1 (new) on the samsung firmware website is AWESOME! I don't feel the need to install any lagfix :)
