Help Samsung Galaxy S - Indian thread

there will be many source as such for illegal apps, pls lets not share their links here ... as our friend mamababu2007 says it's better not to do anything so that Moderator deletes our thread or we are warned.

hmm you are right..i agree...but no matter how people try to stay clean on forums , we all know from where people download apps for android or even for PC. its 100% pirated. so i can say that i just made a bold move and accepted that i use the link i posted. However after i try certain app and if i love it , i make sure that i buy it.

thus you might say that i posted warez link , but point here is not to promote piracy but to let people realize the true potential of app using its FULL version and then later buy same if they plan to use it for long.

Don't take it so seriously my friend. You may be aware of that XDA forum had (still has) a thread about how to restore IMEI....most probably they had a good intention...but the Moderator warned them and cleaned the thread. That was the rule of that forum. So, it's better to obey the forum's rule so that these types of problems never happen. Take it easy :)

I am cool buddy. :) and konsa screen cover use kar rahe ho ? i am not able to find the one which can be used with this phone.
 
guys I am having a very wierd problem, my power button is not working, long press is bringing the menu to power off (but this too happening sometimes not always) and small press is not waking up the device nor making it sleep ... any help pls

I took backup using rootexplorer. I just copied the /efs folder to my PC. Also i restored the files using rootexplorer only. It worked for me that way. Although i have taken the backup using the method given by kalpik also.
I am sure that samsung will release a stable and bugfree froyo.They are heading in the right direction

Saj, I think you shouldn't delay to go to service center.
I have come to know that many SGS are having hardware problems (most of them are of 1st or 2nd lot). Though Samsung is caring for the customers. Most of the time they are replacing the phone.

yup u should go to the service centre ASAP. Might be a problem of loose button.

Galaxy S works perfectly well with car head unit USB port. I have my songs in the external SD card, connect as mass storage device and then explicitly have to mount the device from the notification bar.
 
guys for all those who is going to update kies and then try to connect their sgs...well after updating kies do restart your pc then do a driver recovery in kies and then try to connect your phone...seems after kies update phone does not usually connect.. again a wierd stuff of kies :)
 
Hello guys....even i've become a proud and a satisfied owner of samsung galaxy s :)
I'd like to thank all those users who have shared their knowledge on this forum.....seriously guys i've learnt a lot here, though I have a question
There is an option 'Accessibility' in the settings menu of SGS and when i click on it says "Downloaded accessibility application is required to activate" and I cant enable it. What does it exactly do and how do i enable it??

i just now updated my kies software and connected my phone without restarting the pc. the phone got connected without any problem.
may be some intermittent issue
