Hi Sanjg2k1, we all know that when we purchase a laptop we get an Operating System which comes with some bundled softwares. Most often we don't like all of them. For example if there is a bundled Registry Cleaner we may not like that. We install a different one we like. If we get Windows 7 it has inbuilt Firewall and Defender. But most of us use different security applications. For more example Windows has a Defragmenter also. But you will hardly find who (who doesn't have a very little amount of data) uses that. There are many services and applications start automatically when we boot....some of them we don't need and some of them apparently we think that we don't need but they are must to run windows smoothly. AFAIK, Android OS is very smart to control the apps and services as it needs. So, it would be better if we take it like our SGS has an operating system of Android 2.1 with some bundled softwares....the problems you are saying...most of them are the common problems of Android OS. Fortunately, it's highly customizable. If you don't like any default feature you should use 3rd party apps. You can google for your problems....most of the time you will find a solution. *If not* then we have to wait for the OS and the Market apps to be updated or newly developed with the feature I need.
Regarding your 480 characters problem you can use Handcent which has an option for it.
For KIES I also use Windows 7 64bit...but I never had any issue with KIES....if you face problems....go to the previous pages of this thread....you will find the solution.
If I ask why windows (windows 7) sound recorder has the only option to save in .wma format then what will be the answer ? Similarly regarding Daily Briefing the simplest answer will be that the Daily Briefing has not the feature you want

Regarding the problem you are facing to import notes...if I ask why an exe file is not supported in Linux...that would be a meaningless question....coz both platforms are different....so file support and file extensions will be different as usual.
