Samsung Galaxy S may get froyo update on Sept. 23

Totally off topic, but people should watch Oprah today, LOL. I think the episode can teach us all a valuable lesson about discrimination, hatred, and acceptance.

I would agree that trashing the carriers' custom UI's is a good route to take. It seems the primary reason updates are held back is because a carrier is having difficulty making their UI work the with OS.
 
T-Mobile will not release Froyo 2.2 for Vibrant until after G2 is released. They have long forgotten about Vibrant, there eyes are set on G2 being the star of the moment, and they will want G2 to have Froyo 2.2 first, before any other phone.

Says who? Why would T-Mobile care which one has 2.2 first? Both are still their phones. And when is that G2 supposed to be released for sale?
 
Those of you who say they never experienced lag on their vibrants...
You may want to sit side by side with the other person on his I-Phone. I can assure you that you have lag.

My coworker's I-phone is nearly immediate on ANYTHING he clicks on, while my vibrant does SOMETIMES have delay. It pisses me off to no end, but I still stand up and argue that my phone is better!

Nooooo! That would be terrible. I do hope you turn out to be mistaken, but the way things seem to go in this business...*sigh*

Just having a Android device makes you smarter than any apple fanboy! I know two people who left the circle of morons...and got 1] evo 2] vibrant and both swore they would never for sake their ijokes...well guess what they love them and you couldn't get them to go back for any amount of money!

yes there is some lag...and yes it would be nice if they fixed it...SOON!

even the phone is waiting patiently for the update...checkin is running day and night...Yippee!

I actually am thinking and hoping we do get it the 23rd or before like tomorrow.

Here goes an idea STOP GOING INTO FORUMS WITH NAMES LIKE"when is 2.2 coming" and maybe you will stop seeing it, just a thought
 
Well, it looks like we are at the end of the month and still without Froyo :(
