If that's what you mean by hot swappable, the Evo is not that from all the videos I've seen of it. Its microsd slot is underneath the battery, so you have to remove the battery. Not many phones have the easily accessible storage card slot.
that's what i thought from evo 4g's preview videos.... well i'm glad galaxy s is not like that

What are the chances of this phone coming to sprint and having 4g capabilities as well? Honestly, if it does have 4g i may get it. The only thing holding me back is the lack of keyboard

I do hope Sprint picks up the Galaxy S. Both the Galaxy S and the HTC EVO 4G are rather large, but think I would prefer the Galaxy over the EVO, especially if there is a 10 buck add-on for 4g (which I won't pay). Like Sprints minute/data package is about the most attractive among all the carriers, now a few nice, functional phones to pick from would be nice.
I'm afraid that I don't know how to post links properly but hopefully this will work.

I believe it is a AFD joke.
I was "on the fence" about getting a Samsung phone but after watching more videos on performance and the look of the phone, I no longer want the EVO 4G. I want the Galaxy S.
Hope I'm wrong but just have a bad feeling that this phone wont be available in the US for a long time..

Well, ur wrong about it not being in the US, since T-Mobile will get it in the next 3 months. I think ur bad feeling should be that it will never make it to Sprint.

Actually thats what I meant, when I wrote "US" i meant Sprint. I would go to t-mobile for this phone but would really prefer this phone on Sprint because of better data plan price. T-mobile & Sprint has about the same coverage in my area, so at least theres that..
just want this phone!

Reasons not to get a Samsung Galaxy S -
- Samsung's software integration blows. Especially touchwiz.
- Samsung doesn't like to support their products after the launch.
- Although they've made the Behold II and the Moment -- both of which had major bugs -- they are still somewhat new to the Android game.
- There is an AMOLED shortage currently which may affect build quality in the future.
I do like the Hummingbird CPU better than Snapdragon though.... Samsung makes great hardware, but their software is not something to be desired.

Could technically force them to supply the screens with shoddy materials. Just speculation.
BTW : AMOLED and Super AMOLED are related, and probably use the same materials to construct.

You do realize that there is a difference between touchwiz & touchwiz 3.0 right? I personally like it alot better than the 1st version. Its not the best UI around but its not too bad. (But I guess this is really a matter of prefefence)
Also, if Samsung doesn't support its phones after launch, why is my Moment running 2.1? (It came at the same time HTC updated the Eris as well). I'm not gonna say that Samsung is the best in this department but I wouldn't go to the extreme that you went there.
I'm just trying to keep it fair, that's all.

One should also remember that the biggest fuss about Samsung not updating their phones is made around a case where they actually can't upgrade it. The i7500 was promised an Android upgrade but it turned out that it didn't meet Google's requirements for that. Not that it couldn't have been handled better by Samsung though, although they have been offering discontent Galaxy owners a discount on the SGS.
