Samsung Galaxy S2, 3(UK) lockscreen

Hi there,

I purchased a galaxy s2 on contract with 3 in the UK and i have noticed the lockscreen is not the default samsung-android one and the font for the clock looks pretty bad.
To add to this options on the settings for the lockscreen such as 'show clock/weather' and clock/weather position dont do anything.

I was wondering if anyone else has this lockscreen with a 3 contract android? and is there a way, preferably without 3rd party apps that I can change it back to the stock android lockscreen?

Thanks for any help.

I also have this problem... doesn't matter what I do on settings > display

I can't turn the crappy clock off the lock screen or change it's position and can't get the weather on there either! doesn't matter what state is selected in settings

I'm on Vodafone so I don't think it is a carrier thing...

Any help appreciated.

The problem could be that you set security for Screen Lock (look under "Settings -> Security") Once that is true, the position of the clock cannot be moved (it'll be permanently on the top) and the weather will not be displayed. The only settings that will enable you to move the clock or display the weather are "None" and "Slide". Hope this helps!

Ive got the same problem, cannto get weather to show or move the clock. ie cannto make any changes to the current setup i had before upgrading to ICS.

Looked in security settings where i have a pattern unlock, and the options for 'none', 'slide' and 'face unlock' are all greyed out and not selectable even after changing the available settings from pattern to PIN and back again.

note changing these did not enable me to get the weather or clock settings to change either.

Is there a way to enable security screen lock options 'none', 'slide' and 'face unlock' ?

If your phone is connected to a corp email account such as Exchange, they have likely disabled the insecure options on your phone.
