Help Samsung Galaxy S2 Bluetooth Problems

I have a Ford Mondeo and the bluetooth works fine on that. Stays connected and even has access to the contacts.

I have this exact problem with my new 2012 Honda CR-V and Galaxy S2 phone. The Honda tech had my car for 5 hours and successfully paired all other types of phones but mine and another Galaxy S2. He said Samsung will probably have an update. I called Samsung and they confirmed this (with no exact date). How will I know what the update is called when it comes in the "Update" list? I usually do not accept all the updates. Thanks!

I'm having issues as well connecting BT with my Galaxy S2 SGH-T989D and 2012 Honda CR-V Touring. Won't auto connect at all and just seems like the BT audio and media really appear to fight each other...my BT phone audio always ends up losing and gets disabled on handset which I then have to re-renable manually. Wish there was a way to disable BT media streaming all together on the NAV head unit as I don't use it at all just my USB flash drive for music.

Samsung really doesn't push updates OTA...I'd suggest downloading Samsung Kies and plug your phone in once a month or so to check for firmware updates. My carrier TELUS says Jellybean 4.1 update should be out sometime in December...hopefully BT issues will be fixed

Another annoyed S2 user here (raises hand). Mine is dropping the BT connection with my Kenwood BT852HD aftermarket stereo. If I get 5 minutes of solid connection I'm lucky. Not only is it annoying to drop music/calls but seeing my stereo display "HD Connected" "HD Disconnected" "Audio Connected" "Audio Disconnected" every few minutes is incredibly annoying.

Samsung...DO SOMETHING! This problem has been going on for a year as it's obvious by the above posts.

Same problem here with the gs2 on both a 2010 Ford F150 and a 2013 Ford Edge. They connect and work and then randomly drop the BT connection. The only way I can get it to stay connected all the time is to play music via BT from the phone. I use doubletwist but not sure if the player matters.

I had the same issue with my Odyssey-2012 Touring

My Samsung Galaxy S2, always connect then disconnect few second after, then reconnect, etc.

I like everything about that phone, but the Bluetooth not working in my car, is something I cannot accept from a phone! this is the most important things I need with my phone! In my country, it's illegal to drive and talk to the phone without a Bluetooth!

Update: After a lot of reading and research, I finally find something that work for me. It's not perfect because I need to do those step every time I restart my phone...But at least it works.

1) Go to Settings>Applications>Running Services
2) Then Stop the service "BluetoothPbapService"
3) The Bluetooth is now supposed to work until you close your phone or the bluetooth.

Hope it will work for you

On my AT&T Samsung Skyrocket I found "BluetoothPbapService" under "Bluetooth Share."

I update my galaxy s 2 phone from 2.3.6 android version to ICS 4.0
3 but the Bluetooth stop working meaning that can not even be switch on and also the predictable text stot. Please anybody with an idea to resolve this let me know or here is my email (abbamember @yahoo.com )

I had the same issue as ya'll have described with the additional issue of my entire contacts list wouldn't load into the phonebook in my 2012 Honda CRV, only about 1/3 of my contacts would show up. I searched and searched and came across a forum where someone suggested an app called Bluetooth Phonebook. It's $1.95, but well worth it. My entire contact list now syncs, and my BT connection hasn't dropped once.

Now if only the %&*$# text messaging would work with my car! How can they sell something that doesn't work? I went to the Honda dealer and they say it's only compatible with Blackberry. Who the heck even has a Blackberry anymore?? I read another forum where a guy said the issue is resolved for Android v. 4.# or higher, but I have 4.1.2 and the car will not read texts from my phone. Very frustrating.
