Samsung Galaxy S2 Coming to VM in November 2012!

The s2 is crap compared to the EVO 3D. I don't understand why would anyone buy a s2, is for the samsung name?
 
I've said it before in other threads, and I'll say it again.

If the S2 had 3D I would buy it in a heartbeat. I just really enjoy the 3D of the evo v.
 
It is. Look at the Google Search bar. Thais the one from gingerbread. ICS has a clear bar and JB is kinda gray. Unless they're giving us an SII running Gingerbread? I don't think so.
 
I am just saying that I have not seen any official, or even credible, source to confirm this. I do see that it is available overseas, but their VM is different than ours. Even VM in Canada is different.
When I see something credible, I will take it back. Until then....:rolleyes:
 
I find this very interesting because whenever I ask a VM rep while on their website about upcoming phones they're VERY STRICT about giving any information away. I haven't seen anything on the web about them releasing the S2 on their network but if they are, I'll probably be getting it depending on price.
 
I got an email today from Sprint offering the S2 for free with a new account. I'm guessing that now, even though I've seen nor heard any official/credible resource that it's coming to VM, this tells me that it is possible. :sly:
 
This would be perfect. I am seriously tired of the problems I'm having with my Evo V...I'm finally looking into S-off and everything else even though I've been putting it off. The only thing is...I really like the 3D and Sense. Also, if VM does get this...I like the white version better, so in that case I might as well just switch to Boost, since they have the shrinking payments too. The only reason I went back to VM was because there was a very noticeable difference in my 3G speed when I went to Boost. I am wondering though if this was because of the phone model I had (LG Marquee). I'm going to try to find a Boost store that has a working model of the S2 and see what the 3G speed is like.

Would it be crazy not to sell the Evo if I do that, just to keep it for the 3D? It's too bad that it doesn't come out in more phones...Even though many people tagged it as gimmicky, I like it a lot.

Getting S-off is really easy. The instructions are what make it sound hard, but if you watch a video of someone doing the process you will be surprised at how simple it is. I'm S-off atm and running Harmonia with everything working.

Yeah I've been reading over all of the instructions, and I may attempt it later this week. I just want to make sure I understand everything first, and have everything backed up, and then when I have some time I can spend working on it I will try it.
 
Can anyone verify that this is going to happen? Looking into getting a new phone, and this would be awesome! I'm hoping it will be the version that Boost Mobile has (Epic 4g Touch) because I really like the design.
 
The s2 is outdated, and why would boost and vm have the same phone? I think VM is prepping for something better than the s2 :D
 
Really? It looks good enough for me. I just want a smartphone with a good camera and a decent size screen. I'm inferring that you think they will get the S3, but it seems to early for that. I understand what you mean though, having the same phone on both Boost and Virgin wouldnt work because Virgin could offer a much cheaper contract. Doesn't hurt to dream though.... :)
 
I don't actually have an Android device at the moment. I own a Sanyo Incognito on Boost (predecessor to the Innuendo) that is "technically" a 3G phone, but I have it on the Pay-as-you-go plan so I don't use any of the internet or messaging features it is capable of.

I'm looking to get a phone that will be able to have some of the features I don't have right now. The reason I really want a good camera is because I've tried to take pictures with my Incognito and the quality is really bad. I will most likely be keeping this phone for a while, so I don't want to buy a cheap phone and regret it.
