Hey Guys,

I bought SGSII 4 days back. I found out its a amazing device in initial days but also found out some serious issues with android devices and there is not much help available as well. Some of my critical issues.:(

1> I am unable to connect my phone to the adhoc wireless networks created in my laptop in windows 7.
2> Successfully connected to wifi using connectify program in my laptop but still unable to acces internet trough the phone.
3> Unable to connect my phone to my laptop via blutooth.
4> Unable to find my old bluetooth headset in the available devices list in the phone.
5> samsung kies sucks. I cannot understand creater of such a wonderful device has also created this software... there is no way to connect the laptop to the internet of SGSII device via samsung kies....
6> cannot find a other way to download mobile apps other then android market.
7> If i wanted to use my laptop internet to download apps for my mobile.. its not possible. The only way available is 3G or GPRS in mobile:eek:

I dont think these devices will last if they will not sort it out or give proper help to the users in earliest ... :o:(

I am really disappointed now by choosing SGSII over iPhone 4..:confused::confused:

1) Can you connect any other devices to your adhoc wireless network? I've had no issues connecting to tons of random wireless access points around the city and at friends houses. zero issues so far so I'm sorry I can't help you here, but potentially this might not be a problem with the phone itself.
2) You're trying to get online (tether?) using the 3G/HSPDA connection through your phone? Have you tried connecting the USB cable, then on the phone going to your MENU > Wireless and network > Tethering and Mobile AP > USB tethering? Mine works great.
3) What brand of laptop? Did you set your phone to 'visible'? I guess from a guy who's phone works perfectly right out of the box I'm not helping...
4) Can't help. This is very specific to you.
5) Don't use Samsung Kies for anything but the firmware updates. See point #2.
6) Tons of markets out there, plus you can just download the .apk files and install them onto your phone manually. I can even SHARE .apk files sending via bluetooth to other android users. I setup a lot of my friend's phones that way. See (Alternative Android Markets)
7) That is not true. You just can't expect to install things on your laptop and have it magically appear on your phone. Though that being said you can PUSH the install to happen from the market. This doesn't answer your question exactly, but if you would rather use your computer to browse for apps you can try just going to the android market (https://market.android.com/?hl=en) logging in with your gmail account, and when you click install it should show your phone on the list of devices you can install to.

The inability to connect to ad-hoc wireless networks is an Android limitation, I'm afraid.

exactly my concern. . . :( laptop to laptop connects.. but S2 to laptop does not. . . .

and i think this can add to the "topic"

lately my messaging service keeps on crashing. . . even if i stop start the service.. it will end up in mess. . . :( dunno why..
