Samsung Galaxy S2 - No Service

Hello,

It happens every time my battery goes flat and the phone powers off - when I have enough charge back in the phone and power it back up I get 'NO SERVICE'!

I have to remove the battery and SIM from the phone, power back on and then it is OK.

Really annoying!

Any ideas anyone??? Maybe ICS will fix if / when I can get the update?
I am running Gingerbread 2.3.4(?) or something - phone is currently off so can't check.!

Why let your battery go flat in the first place? Lithium Ion batteries don't like it, they prefer frequent top-up charging. You're probably only shortening the battery's life.
