Samsung Galaxy S2 Root Help

Hi, I recently updated my unrooted Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100M from Bell to ICS using Kies so I now have android 4.0.3. I tried using various guides found on this site but none of them worked, mainly because when searching for the kernel, I got
'PDA: I9100MUGLD3
PHONE: I9100MUGLD3
CSC: I9100MBMCLD3
BUILD INFO: THU APR 19 15:30:18 KST 2012',
which I took to mean that it was 'LD3', which I couldn't find a kernel for. So I was wonder if there was anyway that someone in my situation can have my phone rooted with the ICS update.

From a search of the xda forum, lp7 5.4 cf- root is working for your bell

i believe that i found the post that you were referring to. but does that mean that i just follow the instructions given by chainfire and just use the lp7 file then?

Yeah. Just follow the instructions by chainfire. Triangle away, also on there, will do what it says. You will then be rooted.
