Samsung galaxy s2 rooting problem

kr3am3r

Lurker
Hello i tried rooting my Samsung Galaxy s2 today and i succeeded but after the root the phone doesn't boot. I get the triangle and samsung logo.

This is the kernel i used : Kernel_I9100XXLQ7_INSECURE.tar
And the program used to root it was : Samsung Quick Root v1.8.3
I don't know if i'm allowed to post websites to show you where i got the program from.

Now i found my phones original firmware and i'm going to try and install it.

My question is how can i find out the kernel version required for my phone?

Its I9100P O2 united kingdom

Hello, i unrooted my phone succesfully and tried following your guide, but the Odin program doesn't recognize the Siyah Root Kernel. I have tried other Odin versions. I have tried writing the name of the kernel myself when prompted to add the kernel but it says 0 completed/1 fails.

You are downloading the .TAR version and not the .ZIP aren't you?
