Help Samsung Galaxy S3 getting sluggish

Hi,

I'm new here and not sure if this is the right place to post. Sorry if it isn't.

I got a samsung galaxy s3 at christmas and so far its been running really well. But the last week its got really sluggish. (e.g when I put my passcode and it loads up the home screen, it will initially load a blank screen and then one by one my app icons start appearing.)

Also, when I hold the home button down to access the task manager nothing happens. There's just a slight vibration, but nothing loads up.

Has anyone got any idea what could be causing these problems?

I have updated to JB, but that was a few weeks ago I think... quite a bit before the sluggishness began

Have you turned your phone off lately? That clears things up sometimes.

erm, thanks Gmash that seems to have sorted it. I feel a bit stupid now, I didn't even think of that! lol

I reboot maybe 2ce a week n it does seem to freshen things up

+1, i use that when my keyboard gets laggy. It just clears app cache n its a nice widget.
Dnt care what anyone says lol. It also helps pics to load faster on tapatalk

I've learned to run it whenever my Swype keyboard starts to get sluggish. Works!

Thanks everyone. I've installed the cache cleaner so hopefully things will be better.

Its a bit of a learning curve from my last phone (iphone), but other than it getting sluggish I am definitely preferring my new phone
