Just received the Android 4.1.2 update to my Samsung Galaxy S3 Sprint phone. The great state of Maine at noon time today!...Yee Ha! But they are rolling out 4.2 already ??

I am not sure if it removes root. I am rooted and used VooDoo to temp unroot. Took the OTA and removed temp unroot. Everything is fine

The Screenshot you provided is for 4.1.2 JB not 4.2.

Please be sure and let us know how 4.1.2 effects your battery longevity. I am hoping that later releases of 4.1.2 have solved, or at least improved on earlier complaints of faster battery depletion.

Being a T-Mobile kind of guy I am still waiting for the update on my S3.

Updated mines a few hours ago. Still late than most users, then again some people I still know are waiting for that update. Seems to run smooth for me. Not sure about my battery. I'll get back to that. Made my launcher (Nova) run smoother though and a few convenient touch-ups/brush-ups to the firmware. Can't complain Note: Not rooted

Where can I download the Sprint Galaxy S3 4.1.2 file?

I am rooted with a version of 4.1.2 but maybe would like to install the official release.

Or is it better to wait until Thursday after the release of the S4 so we can get the 'FULL" version of either 4.1.2 or 4.2?????

If you are rooted I would not bother with the official release. The custom ROMs out there are much better than any official release will be.

Odex and updating is a pain. Other than fear of the unknown, I can think of no reason to stay on an odexed touchwiz rom over a de-odexed and modified touchwiz rom.

Im gona leave official 4.2 n wait on a nice rom based on it. Im not in the same rush to have it as i was with 4.1
