samsung galaxy s4 boot screen problem

Im trying to give my rooted phone a custom boot screen and after trying different things for a few hours and it never working I realized every time I copy the bootsamsung.qmg file to the media folder the file automatically changes to a 0 byte file. Every time ive tried to paste the file it says the file is completely empty. Im not sire why this is happening. Any ideas?
 
Make sure you have /system mounted as R/W, and set permissions on the .qmg file to 664 before rebooting.
