Help Samsung Galaxy s4 messaging/group messaging issue

I recently got a samsung galaxy s4. Its gsm unlocked(from verizon). And recently I've been in group messages and 2 things happen: I will send messages and receive my own message 2 seconds later in the thread. And second, I'll be in the group message and when someone replies, it will come in as an individual text from that person instead of appearing in the group. If anyone could help me, that'd be awesome because the phone itself is cool and I don't want to have to send it back.

That has happened to me! A lot of it is diff os from different devices or messaging apps that we or the others use! Sometimes group messaging works wonderful for me and others its like why did I bother!

Sounds more like a carrier issue than the phone tbh

Most carriers don't support it tho!

Well my other friends with samsungs have the same problems sometimes and they have phones through their carriers. I dont know :/
