Hi!
I am new in this forum and I wanto to say hello to everybody!
First of all sorry for my english that may be poor and incorrect...
This morming I updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 with Lollipop via OTA (FW name is G900FXXU1BNL9 and my carrier is H3G Italia). After the update the smartphone continuosly reboot without any option to keep it powered up, so I cannot do anything!
The phone is unusable!
Seems that what happened to Robin Fosse happend also to me now, so Robin you are not alone... (!)
And there is a mistake by me. My last backup is done 3 month ago... so I want to try to re take my phone in life without make a hard reset loosing many data...
So I tried to load Lollipop with Odin 3.10 but nothing change.
Now I want to try to flash the original firmware (G900FXXU1ANG2) with Odin... is this a good idea? The phone is quite new and it's still under warranty...
I tried to follow this conversation with al the posts of Robin Fosse and ironass but I don't know very well what they are talking about, so I am in doubt... please help me!
Or somebody here may help me in other way, with some other suggestions?
In fact I need much more my fully functional S5 than a smartphone with Android 5.0...
Hello and welcome to Android Forums Mauro0206!

Try Wiping the Cache Partition as described in #1.3 of the S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide. There is even a video in that link to show you how to do it.

. So, there is no way to avoid the factory reset, is it correct? But I cannot see why you have to loose the warranty if you install an official firmware... bah... it's a mistery
