You can install apps into the SD card instead of the memory card. For existing apps, you can move them to SD card by go Manage Apps>select the app>Move to SD card

Hi all,

I have a similar problem. I've moved as much as I could to the SD card, and it says I have 46MB free of app storage. I'm getting a "Low on space" notification that won't go away (tried rebooting, blah).

FWIW, I never had this issue on the Vibrant, and I never installed apps to the external SD, or moved any apps to the SD. But I broke the screen on it, so I had to get a new phone.

(Other than this space issue, I'm happy with it - same as the Vibrant, plus a front camera and 4G.)

Anything else I can do about this memory issue? I like to get a little app crazy, but according to two different free apps (MoveToSD and AppsToSD), I only have one Market app on the phone, and I need it there for the widget access.

Thanks!
Eric

i'm having the same issue: "Low on space" notification that won't go away. It also keeps telling me that Visual Voice Mail is full, but i've deleted all messages.

can anyone here help?

I've decided to get rid of this phone. 512MB is just unacceptable - it's really less than half of that available for apps. Before I downloaded a single thing, the OS and pre-installed crapware took up over 250MB of the available space.

Many apps won't let you move to SD - maybe they're older apps, but it's still a limitation that basically renders this phone useless, unless you don't install anything.

Sorry that's not much help - Samsung has lost a customer here.
