Help Samsung Galaxy SII or iPhone?

Hello,
Damn, many games are taken from iPhone!
And a lot of games are for iPhone and not in Android!!
Something tells me: Buy iPhone better, it has many games than Android!!
Is that really true?

Who advices me please?

First of all, IPhones or Apple do not create the majority of the apps in the Apple Store. Its the games/apps developers that chooses to market it in the Apple store. And they are the one also choosing to market it for Android phones because there are now more android phones than iOS phones.

There is no case of Android stealing games from Apple or whatever you want to call it. As for number of apps, yes Apple Store has more since they have a head start. But I find the apps in the Google Play shop is numerous enough and the percentage of free apps (including games) is also much higher.

You are looking at this store / game comparison the wrong way.

While it is true that there are more games in the Apple store then in Google Play, you shouldn't really look at it as a quantity=better. You have to evaluate exactly what you want and look at the games you want to play. I think you'd have a hard time playing every game in either store, if your intention is to play as many games as possible. However, if there is one specific game or app that you must have, then go with the platform that has it. If they both do, then ask yourself if you want to be playing a game on a 3.5" screen or a 4.3" screen? That would be the single biggest difference from a gaming standpoint.

As well as screen size, which platform has the most computing 'grunt' to make your game playing more enjoyable? TBH, I'm not positive of the answer myself but without actually comparing available technical data, I'd say the SII is the more powerful.

really gotta ask why you would post this question in THIS forum.

we have obviously all chosen s2 as its the more advanced (on specs sheet)

if you have posted this in an iphone forum i bet itll say, get the iphone!

too many biased opinions for an answer you would want!

personally though ive never liked iphones so it was an easier decision for me!

You need to look at what games you want to play, there are allot of games available for Android, more than enough for users who like games.

However it is true that there are more available for the iPhone.

No phone in the world would have enough storage space to put everything on the market or the Apple store into your phone. There are enough games or apps in both stores to get things done.

What I don't like is someone saying Android stole Apple's apps/games when its not Apple that produces the apps/games in the first place. Rovio made angry birds and they have nothing to do with Apple. Even if IPhone users (supporters) would always say IPhone is the best, even they won't go to the extent to say the apps belong to them.

If you're only going to buy a smartphone for gaming well.. don't buy a smartphone buy a console instead..
Besides there are other factors to consider when buying a smartphone. You should consider these before you buy one.. Think about battery life, 3G/4G, screen size, performance etc. and ask yourself if you really need all or some of these features.. Personally, I chose the S2 because of the screen size and my preference for android.. I play games occasionally and have not been disappointed besides the occasional bugs/FC's.. It all comes down to personal choice. :)

I think that may be due to language difficulties. ;)

I believe the OP was expressing surprise at how many games appear on both platforms. The reason for that, of course, is popularity. Developers with a success on one would be crazy not to port it to the other.

I've had an iPhone and now am using an Android. I have no regrets making the change. Yes there are certain apps that are exclusive to iPhone, but many of the popular games for iPhone are also available for Android. This is really up to the developer if they want to code for both platforms.

For me, I found the iPhone to be too restrictive. You're limited to use your iPhone with technology Apple wants you to use (Such as AppleTV for Media Streaming. The S2 is DLNA enabled and will work with virtually any DLNA enabled device). After purchasing an Android Tablet (Asus Transformer), I got rid of my iPhone and got a Galaxy S2, and also purchased a Sony Internet TV Blu Ray Player (Google TV) and have not been happier. If Apps are your main concern check out iTunes online and also the Google Play store and see if the apps you want the most are available on both platforms.
