Samsung Galaxy SIII play store problem.

I can't access the play store. I think I have a virus. It says "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." when I try and open it. It's also very laggy. I've tried disabling and reabling the app and nothing works. I want to do a factory reset but I can't download an app to backup the stuff I have on there now. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums.

Go to settings>apps and find the google play store and tap on it. Force stop the app, clear the cache and data and then reboot your phone. See if that clears up the problem.

I don't think it did. First time I've done that that way but It's been over 10 minutes and still nothing.

Have you tried restarting the entire phone? You might want to pull the battery for a few minutes just to make sure everything is cleared before you restart.

Didn't work. I'm gonna just reset my phone. Thanks for the help.

If ive caught you in time. Go to Settings, App Manager, ALL, scroll to the bottom and make sure you havent disabled anything that could be relevant :thumbup:
