Help samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 does not allow pc to sd card ebook and cbr transfers to show up

Newbie
I bought the Samsung galaxy tab to read my cbr comic collection. I got my Samsung 32gb card formatted for the device removed it and put in my pc card reader. Loaded it with 27 gb of comics in cbr format. Then I load it in my galaxy tab 2 7.0 and the folders are not accessible from perfect viewer app, ACV, or even a astro file manager app. I called Samsung about it and they said the tab devices do not allow text, ebook or cbr file transfers from pc to tablet or pc to ss card and the only way to access these type of files is to pay for them again through amazon kindle app or nook app. The only other way to access the files would be through email and emailing 27 gb of comics is not really an option. Will rooting my device allow me to access my cbr files from my ad card. Or is there a setting I can change on the device. Or should I return it and get a tablet that doesn't block features that are essential for reading comics on the Android device. Thank you in advance to any and all advice and comics.....I mean comments.
Thanks
Jeremy

 Angry that the only way to view the comics is through the cloud or drop box app. They did this on purpose:mad: So if anyone has another work around please let me know

Really? I transfer cbr files to my Tab 7.0 Plus via PC no problems. What exactly happens when you try to access via ACV? What message do you get?

They load on the sd fine but once its in the samsung it shows that the space is used but the folders are just not there at all. I even tried to access through astro file manager and it still did not show the folders that I had put my 25 gigs of comics. The only way I could access them was by usiong the cloud and the comics load perfect. But I dont want to pay 10 a month and depend on my wifi conncetion to access my books when I bought the 32 gb class 10 card for this reason. I have the new samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 student edition in white model GT-p3113 if this makes a difference. Maybe samsung allows it on the tab plus only????:othanks for reply again

Let me move this to the Galaxy tab 2 7.0 section. Maybe your fellow owners have a solution.

I, also, have a galaxy tab 7 plus and I have no issues accessing ebooks, pdfs and other media files on my sd card.

lots of clouds are free, I use box, got 50GB free on sign up.

also try es file explorer or root explorer

I Have tried tried differnt file managers but the problem is they wont show up and the also dont show up when i click open file on any of the comic viewers ACV or Perfect viewer. It makes no sence to me because it works flawlessly on my HTC evo 3d. Why would samsung do this? Plus i want this at work where I cannot accessa network to allow me access to my box or drop box account

That makes no sense to me. I have no issue using Perfect Viewer to load comics from the sd card.

First thing I did was copy all comics to the sd card using my computers sd card slot. Install the card into the Galaxy tab. Then I opened Perfect Viewer, select menu, open file, then the folder with the green arrow pointing up. Select extSdCard and finally select the folder and then comic.

You can even use the Kies software to copy to the sd card. Just tried it everything worked fine. I am not rooted either.

Do you think it could be that the Samsung 32gb class 10 card is the problem? I did everything that Hadberz did 100% and they just dont show up. Im lost

Hadsberz
In your Kies is books an option because for me its not there and do you have the Smsung tab 2 7.0 model gt-p3113

Do you have another sd card? It could very well be defective sd card. I have the SanDisk 32GB class 4. Amazon sells it for about 15 bucks. I also have no issue accessing ebooks, txt, or pdfs. Try formatting the card in the tablet and then copy over few comics, see if it works.

No books doesn't show under Library. I just use the View in Explorer (External memory) and copy them over (I'm running Windows 7). Yep I have the gt-p3113.

Im going to try it through exporer through kies like you said. Hope it works. Thanks again for all the help everyone

I gotta agree with the above it could be a busted card might wanna try something like SD Card Tester. It will write data to the card then try to read it. Also have u tried copying other files to the card? Are reading the files on windows to see if there accessible?

Few different things i can think of off the top of my head are

Defective card or Defective card ready inside the Galaxy Tab its self.

It shows up in windows perfectly so i don't think its a bad card but I will try a second card and see if thats it

Problem solved. Once I installed file manager instead of the astro file manager the extsdcard folder showed up and so did my comic folder. THANK YOU FOR EVERYONES HELP. Huge fan of this forumn and Its my first day being a member
