Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Rooting Help

First I would like to thank anyone that took their time to read this. I am a complete newbie when it comes to android so sorry if any ignorance shows.

I recently took the initiative to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T337T (T-mobile). I've looked up a way I could root it and it seems like the only method is using Odin3. I followed the steps on how to root the device using Odin and started the rooting process in download mode. It was downloading files and reboots my device and afterwards after a couple of seconds it says PASS in a green box on the top-right. I go to root checker and it says root is not properly installed on this device. I've tried dozens of times ans end up with the same result.

Is this device rootable? Am I doing something wrong? Is it because of KNOX? Help is appreciated.

Right. I thought it was only Verizon Knox bootloaders that were unlockable but could be wrong (I'd ask in the tab 4 forum).
Even with a locked bootloader the tab should still be rootable, you just can't flash anything (a rom, custom recovery...)
Did you use Chainfire's method (CF Root or something)?
That (used to, I don't know now) unlocked the bootloader, flashed CWM and rooted with SuperSU.
As i said, I'd ask in your device forum.
Good luck
