Help Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.1

Hello

I recently bought this tablet and seem to remember that when I had the google nexus I was able to upload the latest Android system as well as a minimal set of applications, it was some kind of package called "google apps" or something like that. I really have forgotten most details.

Question is can I do something similar on the Samsung? Wipe it clean of all Samsung bloatware and install the latest Android as well as a minimal set of apps (those google apps something or other) ?

Many thanks

Edit: Sorry it is Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5

Not without rooting the device I'm afraid, and either removing unwanted apps from the stock firmware or (if available) flashing a third-party firmware that offers a more "vanilla" Android experience.

The Nexus family benefit by being Google's own reference designs, and thus receiving the latest Android releases direct.
