On my wife's Galaxy Y the 'Contacts' icon has disappeared on the home page.
If you select 'Phone' it is still there in the top RH corner, but if you select it the following message appears:
"Sorry! The application Phone (process com.sec.android.app.dialertab) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. [Force close]". Trying again gives the same result.
If you type in a phone number the expected 'Contacts' information appears, so I gues that it is still there - somewhere!
