Can someone offer assistance.
I purchased a genuine samsung mhl tv -1 cable in the hope that i could play videos from the phone to my tv.
Naively thinking this would be straight forword i have had no success.
I would appreciate confirmation that this can be done and how i should go about it.

It really is as straight forward as you were thinking. Plug in the mhl cable into the phone micro usb.. then insert the hdmi into the TV. Change your tv to the correct hdmi input and hey presto it should work...

Nothing else needs to be switched on etc.. it just works..

Hope this helps..

Ps Welcome to the forum..

Does the charger not have to be plugged in as well? I have one myself but have not tried it without the charger plugged in.

Many thanks.
I was in too much of a hurry there is a need to plug it in via the charger that comes with the phone.
As you describe once this was done the phone home screen appears on the tv.
Thanks for your replys.

I just bought the Galaxy HDTV adapter to go with my SIII. It's fabulous but for some reason anything in 16:9 on my phone (Netflix for example) gets compressed to 4:3 on my TV. Can anyone help? Thanks.
