AFP: Judge sets December hearing on Samsung phone ban
Wait one minute. Hold the phone.
You mean to tell me that that $1 billion could be tripled, and that the S3 is facing simular litigation in a separate suit?
You know, seriously, I was contemplating getting another Samsung phone, but now I'm gonna hold off. As I said, there's just too much uncertainty involved in all this. Logic tells me one thing, but circumstances are yelling something else. I mean as far as I'm concerned, I don't give a damn if they copied them or not. I just don't want to shell out hundreds of dollars, then not be able to have it supported.
You want an SIII and is the US? Buy one from Canada or Mexico. Easy enough LOL. The software support will still exist. As I said earlier in the thread, Europe and Asia won't even feel the effects of this trial unless Apple holds similar patents. And even if they did, this won't even create precedents even if Apple does own the exact same patent, in say, the UK. They would still have to go on trial for every country Apple owns a patent in, and not all of these countries would side with Apple. In Korea for example, a similar trial ruled that Apple violated Samsung patents, and if I am not mistaken, those were the same patents unceremoniously thrown out by the US court.
