Samsung Micro SD Cards

I currently have a Sandisk Class 4 16Gb, but Samsung Class 10 32Gb cards are now going for around 35 quid which seems a good deal to me.

Is anyone here using Samsung Micro SD Cards?
Just wondering how they fare in terms of speed and reliability compared to Sandisk.

Sandisk Class 4 32Gb are going for around 27 quid, so wondering is a getting a class 10 really worth it?

oh i give up! forget it!

10 minutes trying to put my question in, and every time i do so, it just ignores what I just typed.
if I type in something totally unrelated, then it gets posted!

is there some sort of filtering going on here Slug?
if so, what am I typing to trigger it off?

EDIT:
Slug. It seems the forum does not like Pound signs. (I'm on Windows 7 using Chrome btw)
I eventually posted what I wanted to say in Post #1, but all my attempts were thwarted until I replaced the pound signs for the word "quid"

very strange.
something to bear in mind folks.....

You're right :p

Any who, on topic.. Are they Samsung "ultra" cards? Always had good experiences with those :)

My class 4 8gb one would have had class 16 speeds if such a thing existed.

The Custom ROM thread I posted this morning had a similar issue. I posted the thread and nothing appeared. The whole post was blank! Went back, copied and pasted the thread text into my empty edit and it worked, but weird.

Off-topic: Phases and the site engineers are aware of the issue and have been working on it. It's probably related to the double-posing issue which occured yesterday evening (GMT) which we think was due to gross overload on the AF servers due to the official confirmation of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus being released for sale today. It's been a mental week.... the number of active users online has rarely ever been below 10k.

On topic: Samsung cards are good. The lower price is undoubtedly due to volume - Sammy produce an awful lot of memory, both solid-state/flash and DRAM.

Bought one of those cards a few weeks ago, so far seems fine, music and video play with no trouble.
To early to say about reliability yet.

No; for microSDHC, the biggest you can get is 32GB. There are 64GB microSDXC cards available, which will work in the SGS2, but require reformatting to FAT32.

1) Which memory are you talking about? If you are talking bout the phone
USB storage then you get to use 11.5GB which doesn't sound so bad with 10GB left over.
2) Go to Manage Application/SD where it will list apps that can be moved to external microSd
3) You can use up to 64GB micro SD card for SGS2. Try to view your memory through the computer. Sometimes have hidden files that can only be viewed though there
