Root *Samsung Moment 2.1 Rooting Video Walkthrough Tutorial*

Rooting shouldn't of caused that unless you deleted something that you shouldn't of.

These are the apps I deleted (first 3 deleted off without backing them up...)

1. Bejeweled
2. Moxier mail
3. email
4. sprint tv
5. calculator

I followed pretty much to the letter the directions in this thread: http://androidforums.com/all-things...t-apps-apks-removable-non-removable-root.html

and double checked myself with this one: http://androidforums.com/samsung-moment/112896-guide-removing-stock-apps.html

Thanks for the feedback and thanks in anticipation of your response...:)

I continue to get stuck at the Software Download section where it says to plug your USB cable into the computer. Both in windows XP and windows 7 it takes a very long time to tell me "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED", but the Samsung software just continues to look for the phone. Windows recognizes the phone under device manager but it says "unknown device" During windows 7 installation it says "Samsung USB Composite Device Failed". Any ideas how to get the samsung software update program to install the correct drivers?

My phone already has the latest 2.1 update from Sprint by the way.

I'm stuck in the "updating do not disconnect" screen in part 2 of the tutorial. It says ready in the lower left corner and com5 connected in the lower right. I've had zero progress and it's been stuck here for about a half an hour. Can I unplug and plug in again quickly? Worried now. Thanks for any help.

GREAT WALK-THROUGH! very easy to follow, but I get to the connectbot, the instructions sy to type ROOT3D. when I do that it tells me not found. what am I doing wrong?
