Root Samsung Moment Debog Mode USB Driver

Hey Guys, I just got a Samsung Moment and am trying to ADB into it but of course Debug mode needs to be enabled and of course you need the appropirate USB drivers.

I have tried the ADB Android ADB USB drivers which worked for my Hero but so far no go on this one. Anyone have any suggestions.

Hmmm.......Did you try the G1 drivers? Prolly won't work anyway but that's my only idea. You could possibly look for a Samsung Developers site or maybe contact Google about creating a driver for it. If none of the above, something should come out soon.

ok got the driver to recognize device and it installed.... not when i try to run adb logcat it gives this

ADB server didn't ACK
* failed to start daemon *
error: cannot connect to daemon
* daemon not running. starting it now *

- waiting for device -

Is there any updated news on this??? I'm dying to get ADB working so I can rip out all this sprint crap.

EDIT: Nevermind. Found these drivers and they work for ADB. Now we just need ROOT!

thats not to do with the drivers
thats to do with EDB not being able to initialize on the os you are using
if it was a device and driver issue it would simply say "no device"

I had the same issue installing PDANet on my Samsung Moment from Sprint.
To fix, I downloaded the Samsung New_PC_Studio.exe from here
Samsung's Digital World
Installed it, than downloaded a new version of PDANet here
http://www.junefabrics.com/bin2/PdaNetAs.exe
and installed it. Followed the prompts in PDANet installer and it worked. This worked for me so it should work for you. After I installed it, I did a speed test and it downloaded at 1.2 mbps from the sprint network, WOW. :D

I'm usually just a passive consumer of the benefits of root and adb breakthroughs, but I just wanted to says thanks for all the work on this. Rooting is the true way to open software and a better all-around device.

Cheers.

If we subsequently remove the PC Studio, our driver should stay put, right?
