Help Samsung Note 3 NFC Not working.

Hi, I am new on here so I hope this works lol.I bought two Note 3 phones for my company, one of them (my one) would not let me transfer photos from sony dsc rx 100 m2 the other phone did, I sent it back and once again the latest one does not work either, I have the option of getting another replacement one but I don't want to have to set all my emails etc. up all over again then to find that the NFC still does not work, I was wondering if its a common fault with the Note 3 and find out on this site. thanks

Well besides making sure NFC is enabled, maybe change the battery from the working Note 3 to the one that is not working. NFC is built into the battery.

Quite honestly, I've felt since I first attempted NFC, that it was completely not worth the time/energy figuring out any issues that might come up from it.

Instead, I suggest attempting a transfer via Wi-Fi direct. It doesn't require a wi-fi internet signal, it just transmits the wifi signal between devices wifi radios. All that's needed is for the devices to identify each other, but it's 10X's faster and efficient than NFC transfer. I use Wi-fi Direct with all my transfers between my phone and tablet nowadays, ever since I first was told what it does.

drexappeal, thanks but I only want to be able to transfer photos from my camera so although iut has NFC it does not have wifi.

Simples. Put a wifi SD card in your camera. Works superbly and you can even tether your camera to the phone so the pictures transfer as you take them. No need to have a wifi camera as such. I use EZ-share SD cards but there are at least four other makes.

I was doing it this morning with a casual snap of someone. They wanted a copy and I emailed it on from the phone. No phone camera involved at any stage. :)

wow that sounds great, thank you.

Well if you are biting there's an EZ-share app which works with their wifi cards making it very quick and simple. I can't answer for the others which include a SanDisk. I recommend you don't use the Transcends as people have had problems. The grand-daddy of these cards is the Eye-fi.

So basically you can convert any old point and shoot to wifi so long as it takes SD cards. Or my DSLRs use Compact Flash but there are Compact Flash form converters into which you install the wifi SD card (see bottom pic).
