Hi Folks. My Note(sgn-1717m) is giving me grief. Used it from new for three months and maybe in the third month noticed a new message was missing the latter part of it and tagged onto it was a part of an older message. Then in the third month, out of the blue, I received 10 messages all at once that I did not recognize, but knew after reading them that they were part of old conversations. This happens again yesterday and 17 messages came in. The service provider sees none of this in their logs and says the problem is the phone. I'm only texting one person, and I keep the conversation from months ago. Is this phone a lemon? 1st they suggested a soft reset....that didn't help.....next is a factory reset, but I don't want to do that every 2 months Here are some more symptoms copied from a text file I prepared;

1. the odd message is not received.
2. on two occasions,a flood of messages came in. The first time it happened(february), it was approx. 10 messages. The second time(yesterday) it was 17 messages. The messages where texts that were missing from conversations that day or several days ago.
3. Accompanying the second flood of messages was a voice message notification for a phone call earlier the same day.
4.Occasionally, a duplicate message will come in, or a new message with part of it missing, and added on to the end will be a piece of an old message received a while ago.
5. keyboard freezes or lags when a text is being received
I'm going to be upset if I have to reset this thing every couple months and it turns out to be lemon. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks All
