Help Samsung S2 picture gallery app problems

Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy S2 started reporting low internal memory recently and I couldn't find which files were using the storage (internal storage). I moved al the apps I could to the SD card but made no difference.

Could take photos but could not access the Gallery to view them as it saying not enough space. I cleaned the phone using Clean Master app and this freed up half the internal memory (1GB now free). There was an option to remove picture thumbnails so I chose that. Now the Gallery will not open at all (still same error message) and I have to view pics by going the long way via My Files.

Does anyone know how to fix the Gallery app to view pictures and video?
