Samsung s2 remotely turn on gps

Have looked through lots of threads and everything
Want some sort of way to turn on my gps if i lose my phone as using 3g to locate the phone.is not accurate (couple of miles out)
Don't want to leave gps it on all the time as drains the battery
Need some sore of app or remote system which can switch it on
If anyone knows of anything like this would be really grateful

Hello and welcome to Android Forums gp7gp7gp7!

There are a number of app's in Play Store that will do this. I use Android Lost which is a free app and will switch on GPS and report the devices location. Very accurately in my experience.

Just a FYI.... enabling GPS only makes the GPS receiver available to the system; if no app requests geolocation information then it won't actually do anything, therefore using no power.
