Help Samsung S3 Mini constantly vibrating

Hi,
I brought a new S3 mini for my daughter. She has owned smartphones before so knows to not abuse them.
Unfortunatley, I'm not sure the cause, but its back with me with a fault. As you put the battery in, it constantly vibrates. I've waited til the power is drained and then tried to charge it but it just vibrates again.

Any suggestions would be greatfully accepted before I take it to an o2 shop.

A factory reset probably would be the only fix I can think of.

You should really go to the shop to fix the problem
