Samsung S3 notification light

Hi guys, I have my Samsung Galaxy S3 which I just reactivated. Gave up on the Iphone Anywho, Imy notification lights are not working when I have missed calls, or text messages etc. Is this still a problem even with the new software update? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks... Been away from android a long time so don't remember if there is an app to fix this or not. Thanks...

To check if the notification LEDs are ok, try plugging charger in and turning screen off. It should glow red if you havent changed any settings
Or download free version of Light Flow to test it

Also check Settings>Display>LED indicator to make sure it is turned on.
