Help Samsung S5 Flashing Help

So I have got a s5 that was bought from amazon last November but after a month of trying to get lollipop and talking with Samsung it appears the phone is a asian model.

This means it won't get the lollipop update or 5.1

So is there a way I can flash it to the UK csc and then get the updates like I should be other than that the phone is exactly the same and is a Samsung s5 just from Asia.

Thanks I have had a look over this and I would take say I am competent. I understand that I might not get future updates so will have to do this again if there is any more updates past 5.1.

The simple way is:

Make sure phone is charged

Download firmware with the correct csc for the UK

Use odin and connect phone to pc then install it.

Is that it? Or do I need to do something else?

And the CSC is G900FOJV1ANL1

is that all the info you need?

All I know is after samsung checked the *#1234# it come up with that cs and a cp and ap.

Then when he checked it out he come back and said it won't get lollipop in the UK as it is from Asia (Syria etc)

Just checking, as you said, "Asian model". Yours is in fact the international, G900F, model which will accept the latest U.K. firmware for Android 5.0 as linked below...

You shouldn't but as with any flashing or update process, you should make a backup as per post #2 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide

No but you should make a note of your original firmware details in case you need to flash it back for warranty purposes.

Sorry to bring this thread back up. i done this back in may and all has being fine other than occasionaly it freezes/resets by itself.

so i came back to see if there was a 5.1 version. i have just checked on sam mobile and cant see it but i know that my partner has 5.0.1 on her s4 so just wondering if there is an update (i dont want to install a modified rom from crynaegmod or any thing like that just the official ones) i dont think the update in the phone will work now i have done it myself.

any help would be appreciated last time it was a great help.

will that work as it appears to be a newer build only issue i see is that the one i installed is:

PDA G900FXXU1BOD3
CSC G900FOXA1BOD3

so the letters are different BOD3 - BOD5
