Root SAMSUNG Splash Screen....nothing more

I've previously rooted my Samsung Fascinate (Verizon)

Tonight I attempted to flash EB01-aosp

It appeared that everything went well, but when I got to the point of rebooting....

All I get is the Samsung initial screen, without the graphics and the phone stalls...

Did I miss a step?

What kernel did you flash?

nope, In order to flash jt's vanilla aosp you need to flash three things: the rom, the kernel and gapps. They are all linked in this thread:
[ROM] Vanilla Froyo AOSP v0.7 - 2/14 - Now also with NexTheme Version - xda-developers
Make sure you wipe everything (data, cache, dalvik)..sounds like you already flashed the kernel, so you should be good to go there. Also take note of what is not working yet in this rom.

Does the order of the files matter when you flash?

Not sure I can get the phone to link up to the computer, other than ODIN, to transfer additional files?
 
The phone appears to be stuck in recovery mode....not sure how I can get it into download mode ...

When I attempt to reboot...I get the E:drive can't be mounted error
 
Try pulling your battery and holdin down volume buttom while pluggin into usb. That should put it in download mode.
 
If it's simply a matter of getting files on to the sd card, you could always pull the card out and plug it into a card reader...that is if you have one.
 
This may sound silly, but did you download the samsung cable drivers. I had the same issue and when I was flashing my rom. Problem solved.
