Help Samsung stratosphere wifi notification

Hey all! Just picked up this phone yesterday, and i love it. The 4g is fantastic! Anyways, how do you get that annoying wifi notifaction to go away?? Thanks!
 
Go into Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> WiFi Settings and untick "Notify me", should take care of it for you!
 
Pardom my mispelling... *notification is what i meant. And its not that, its a permanent notification in the notification bar that never goes away. I do have the notify me thing unticked anyways
 
Hmmm... I don't get that at all, I remember something like that but I am running dwitherell's Tweaked ROM with a custom kernel and haven't used the stock ROM for a while, sorry but guess I can't help too much with this one.

Hopefully someone else will have the answer for you but it seems to me that WiFi notifications and pop-ups were one of the annoying things in the stock ROM that never got "fixed" and a reason lots of people rooted the device... this thread might help some: Stratosphere loves wi-fi. - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com
 
*Pardon. As you can see im still getting used to this keyboard.

I guess i will just have to deal with it because it seems no one has found a solution. I dont root or put custom ROMs on my phones, i like them nice and stock (except for touchwiz).
