Android Question

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (SM-T530NU) was working great until about 10 days ago. Now it has become painstakingly slow to load web pages and images in all apps.

The tablet is about 1-year old and came with Android 4.4 installed but is currently running (as of 2-weeks ago) version 5.0.2.

I have already performed a factory reset and reinstalled all my apps. All apps that access the web are extremely slow to load images/pages (i.e. Facebook, Flickr, Tumblr, and even Google Play Store).

Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Note: I am connected to my home WiFi and I'm averaging 50MB per sec download speeds. My Samsung Note 4 phone, my MacBook Pro, and my wife's iPad, iPhone, and Windows 8.1 laptop all operate at normal (fast) speeds.

I'd suggest wiping system cache but the factory reset should have done that. Did the reset improve it at all?

No. It did not help.

Videos (YouTube, TCM, Vimeo) seem to be working fine. The problem appears to be with images and web pages only.

Hmm u tried other browsers I take it?
EDIT just reread your OP sorry. I'm stumped mate.
How does it perform on mobile data?

My Galaxy Note 4 just updated to latest version of Android last weekend and now I'm having the same problems with it as with the Galaxy Tab 4.

I've tried changing the DNS settings as suggested in this old thread but that didn't help either device.

The problem exists with all browsers I've tried: Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Dolphin, CM, and the Samsung default. It also affects the following apps: Facebook, Tumblr, Flickr, Amazon Shopping, Amazon Kindle, and Google Play Store.

The tablet is WiFi only so can't try mobile data on it.
