Uber is already on the market with commercially available self-driving car rides. Residents in Pittsburgh have been testing it to date, and now the service is expanding to San Francisco. You won't be able to explicitly request a self-driving Uber, so you'll have to get lucky and hope to get one in your regular requests. Even still, the self-driving Ubers do have to come with assistants behind the wheel to ensure nothing goes wrong.
