Save $30 on Incredible VerizonWireless.com

Not ANYthing. :p

Wasn't able to talk them into bumping up my NE2 when I pre-ordered (was due in October).

But yes, there's something to be said for customer loyalty. Verizon's always been good to me, even when I was a new customer.

Actually he was right, they can do anything. My wife is the primary and she wasn't eligible for NE2 until February and they moved hers all the way up until April 16th when I called. It took several times, and finally a manager is who hooked me up. So yes they can do anything, just depends who it is.

Called the Internet Sales Order team .... the woman knew what I was talking about right away and asked if my orders were for upgrade lines or new lines and told me that it only applied to new lines. Looks like Verizon straightened it out and some were just lucky enough to get it applied to upgrades.

Just called *611 after ordering the phone, as an upgrade, at 8am. Told the rep that I was at work when I was going to order and while looking at different phones there was some promo for $30 that came up, and that I completely forgot about it when I ordered because I had to wait till I got out of work. He took a moment and said he didn't show anything on his side of that code, I told him 1 sec, and I will try to google it. I read the coupon to him and the code, and he said "Yep I just found it and was about to tell you. I can definitely add that on there for you." 1st call and was off in about 7 mins, only due to hold time. Code still works....use it!

Tried calling *611 and the lady said she had no idea what it was. Tried calling the online support (866-338-7390) number and they said it was strictly for new lines. Assuming now they have a full synopsis of these trie in my file, any other suggestions for what I can throw at 'em for a third try?

New customer here, pre-ordered 4/26 with free overnight, free 2gb card, but without SMART30. Called CSR and was told that I should be able to get the promo code credited to my account but only AFTER I have the phone activated. I get my phone tomorrow :)

I got the $30 credit too. Will be receiving the phone on Friday according to the rep. This is the first and last time I order over the phone though, for a while I felt totally out of the loop of whats going on with my order. Online is the best way.

For what it's worth, after a 20 minute phone conversation from a CSR, I got the $30 applied to my account. I upgraded my line as well.

I also struck out on the first two tries to CSR and Online Sales. I sent an email via "contact us" on Verizon's site, not lying about anything saying that regardless of whether or not it is for new lines only people have been getting the discount for upgrades and that as a long time loyal customer I expect the issue resolved to my satisfaction (as I do have 30 days to decide whether or not to keep the phone or the service).

They emailed back confirming the "new lines only" but credited my account anyway due to the hassle and confusion. Being persistent paid off!

I just got off the phone with Verizon. I explained that after preordering my phone, I now have a code that would apply a $30.00 discount. I didn't have any problems getting what I wanted .. I didn't even have to say what the code word was. Once I receive my phone tomorrow I have to activate it and agree to the terms before I can have the credit applied. The CSR that I spoke with will check my account tomorrow and send me a text message that the credit is applied. Pretty sweet deal, thanks for posting this OP!

Same deal with me.

It worked for me! "New" single line VZW customer, 2 year contract, pre-order, Free overnight shipping promised, 2GB card.

Unfortunately ... they've now run out of phones. Even though my order was in before the deadline (4pm local) an email has advised me, and the online status shows: Order being processed.

Enjoy your phones, you 250,000 earliest adopters!

Same problem here. Not vailid on second line. DH has the only smartphone that doesn't require a data plan so even though he technically has a "smartphone" they won't consider it that. :( Any thoughts??

I'd have ordered it for him immediately if they would have given me the discount!

I give up. I called 3 times yesterday, one guy was supposed to research it and call me back but never did. I called this morning and talked with both Customer Service and Internet Services and was denied. They said it was for new customers only. I asked why it popped up on MY ACCOUNT screen then, she said must have been a glitch but they can't honor it.

thankyouthankyouthankyou

not only did i get a $30 credit, but they didn't give me the NE2 $100, (only gave me $50) so i called about that as well and they are also crediting me the other $50.

$80 back because i visited this page. thanks so much!:)

WTF? How did you manage an additional $50 NE2? Was your plan rate higher than $39.99 a month because I thought that was the only way you could get $100 NE2.

Called 4 times. 1st guy said he didn't know what I was talking about and stonewalled. Second call was a southern gal, she said she too didn't know what I was talking about and stonewalled again, "sorry, nothing I can do with that code." Third call was some dude, sounded like a real doofus. He went on and on and on about how you can only use it online, blah blah blah blah. ... Forth call was a nice girl who asked me to email her the email. I emailed her the link from page two of this thread and she called me back saying $30 had been taken off my account. I'm feelin money right now.

I had no problem with Verizon adjusting my account $30. I had to order a new device a few days ago (my current DInc. will not charge) anyway so the rep was more than happy to process the adjustment.

Thanks to the members of this forum for sharing.:)

You guys realize they can kind of do whatever they want?

They pull up a system from someone who has been with verizon for 15 years and they are trained to give them anything they want.
I've been with Verizon since 1996 as well and had to email the Verizon executives in order to get the $30 credit applied. It took 15 emails and a day later I got a call back from the executive offices.

2 phone call and 2 emails later finally got it. For anyone still trying, I found the emails mush easier. Easier to pretend to be furious about the situation and less of those awkward silences. It's sad that that after three attempts of being as nice as I can be, I got nothing. After only 1 attempt of being an ass, I get rewarded. The nice people get screwed in life.

I had to call 5 times yesterday to get a discount. 3 people said they couldn't honor the online code, and 1 of those 3 said they could offer me 500 bonus minutes. I politely declined. Called back a few more times and a guy said he could give me $50 dollars off one phone and use my NE2 ($50) with the other phone. Got 2 Incredibles for $299, should ship tomorrow (they said they had some left in the warehouse).

Spent 25 minutes waiting for 3 people to get this applied to my account, but in the end I'm $30 richer. Thanks for the post.
