Help Save battery with Nexus browser plugin to restyle webpages to black BG?

So, with an AMOLED screen, black pixels cost us no power. Is there a mod or plugin for dolphin browser or the nexus browser that restyles webpages on the fly to black background/white text?

There are tons of plugins for desktop browsers that restyle websites like this, to update color schemes and reformat more nicely.

It'd be awesome for us to be able to save battery life with somesuch.

In the stock browser there is an invert option.

Im sure someone can lead you right to it( i can remember where i found it in browser settings).

Snoop around, youll find it.

Indeed, I started wondering about the plugin/restyle approach after test driving the invert feature a bit. It is a neat hack to grayscale the whole window then invert it, but not quite what I'm looking for.

I will poke around with dolphin browser and see what I can come up with.

I know that I'm being a bit obsessive about it, but the screen is is up to 85% of my power consumption, whereas other bits are a few percentage each. If I can trim screen power by, say, 20%, then I've saved 16-17% of the battery, waaaaaay more than I can with app tweaks.

I'm trying the stock high contrast invert now it's pretty cool. Go under settings > accessibility … or settings > advanced I think
