Help Save image

Relaxed

Newbie
This seems like a daft question, and I have searched this sub-forum for an answer, without success.
Using the Google search bar, I find an image, but I can't see how to save it. Okay, I hold my finger on it, but I do not get any menu offering 'save', nor does the menu button in the bottom left corner offer me a save option.
If it isn't possible, can someone remind me how to do (and save) a screen grab?

Screenshots are saved automatically and are displayed in, "Gallery" under, "Screen Capture".

With google images instead of saving the picture directly in google press it and it should open up another page. You can then long press and save the image from there.

Screenshots are done by holding power and home.

Well spotted both of you!

I missed that the OP didn't know how to do a screen shot. Will go and sit on the naughty step! :(

Thanks everbody - wonderfully quick responses, and the save option comes up for me when I've gone to the 'proper' image page.

The screenshot is still defeating me! I assume the power button is the one on the side, and the home button is the square button at the bottom of the front face: do I press these simultaneously? I haven't managed to capture anything yet.

Yeah the buttons you described are the right ones. Press them simultaneously for a second or 2 and then release and you should hear the shutter.

I would recommend releasing the Power button a fraction of a second before the oblong, "Home", button. :D

I press the oblong :) home button very briefly, and whilst still pressed, press the power key then release both. If you wait too long between the home key and power key presses you will get the task manager window to pop up which you obviously do not want.
