Help Save mp3 as ringtone?

I frequently use www.phonezoo.com to download free ringtones. I'm trying to redownload some ringtones and I don't see how to save them as ringtones. They come as an mp3 file and my old phone had a menu option to save them. Does anyone know how to do it on the X?

Thanks.

I can't seem to find a way to access my SD card on my Droid X. How the heck do you do this??? I'm trying to select music ringtones I have transferred from my pc. When phone is connected via usb, I am able to see them on the pc. When I disconnect phone from pc, I can't find them. This phone is beginning to get to me.

I managed to figure out how to set the file as a ringtone (had to do it from the Music app). But now I want to make one of my custom ringtones my text message alert and it doesn't show me anything but the stock ringtones in that screen despite their being there in the actual ringtones listing. I'll check out RingDroid and see what it can do.

Oh, I just read the description for RingDroid and it appears to only be an app used to create ringtones and not something to customize their use.

I'm having the same issue with the Acclaim. I can't seem to figure out how to make the mp3 file a ringtone.

Create folders on the SD card and name them "Ringtones" and "Notifications." Place the mp3's you want to use into the appropriate folder. They then show up in the list of available ringtones and notifications.
