Help saveing text message mp3?

[Mortx]

I got a message sent to my phone with a .mp3 file that I want to save and use as a ringtone but I can't for the life of me find how to do it. Please help

Long press on the file until a menu appears asking to "save" ?

Hit menu button on phone while text is open and "Save?"

That's all that I can think of.

neither of those seem to work

download savemms and then open it and it will pull it up, and then download ringdroid and you can turn any mp3 into any notification you want

I got an mp3 file in an email. While I can open it and hear the music, when I click on the disk icon, it saves it to a "message folder" and I cannot find it. I have the droid bionic. Any assistance is appreciated.

Duchess, you may want to ask this question over at the Bionic forums, which are here: Motorola Droid Bionic - Android Forums

You'll be more likely to get a answer from somebody who knows for sure.
