Help Saving internet images

Searched through all the other threads on this, and they all say to long press on an image to save it. Problem is, that doesn't work on my Evo. I've tried it on Google Images, ESPN, and other random webpages and I can press as long as I want without a menu coming up. Anyone else experienced this? I'm also fully prepared to find out that I'm an idiot and I'm doing it wrong, but I'm pretty tech-savvy in general, so who knows....thanks in advance.

Reboot and try again. Long holding the picture should bring up a menu with several options.

Which browser are you using?

I tried a battery pull, still no menu on the long press. I've used the default browser as well as the Last Pass browser, neither works. Any other ideas? Opera or something?

Thats really strange. I have an evo and use only the stock browser and this works for me. Are you sure you're pressing the image long enough?

Go to Google and long press the google image. What happens?

Nothing happens when I long press on the Google image. I've tried up to 20 seconds, no response whatsoever. I actually downloaded Firefox Mobile and it worked through that, but slowed down everything. I guess I may just have to deal with that if I want the feature to work. Thanks for the suggestions.

I just tried the long press on the stock browser and in less than two seconds the menu pops up giving the option of "Save Image", "View Image", "Set as Wallpaper" or "Share Image".

I know it's a pain, but have you tried a restore? Sounds like something is wrong with the browser. I'm sure restore will bring back the feature. Just make sure to back up your apps with AppBrain (or similar) and backup anything else you may want (SD should not be affected).
