Root Saving my extended battery.

I've had an extended battery for a couple months now. My phone went into boot loop the other day, that's been fixed. I've been using my stock battery since. Anytime I put my extended battery in, my phone usually doesn't start up right or ends up shutting my phone down quick.

Can I save my extended battery? Would a battery wipe in clockwork help, and if so, would that do anything to my phone or just wipe the battery?

Wiping battery stats via CWM recovery doesn't do anything to the battery, it just resets/clears the battery stats in the phone.

From your account, the extended battery sounds defective. Continuing to try to use it may actually damage the phone, especially if the battery were to supply too much current to the phone's circuits. The fact that the phone is shutting down and FCing with the extended battery and not the stock battery is a big warning flag to stop using the extended battery.

If the extended battery had any kind of warranty, then you should try and pursue that warranty or perhaps try and get the seller to give you a prorated price on a replacement.

I'm not sure if it's got a warranty or not I got it direct from Motorola.
